There’s no other endings yet. More will be introduced in v1.1

The option to skip it will be introduced in v1.1 (the next update), along with some new endings

The devs haven’t exactly confirmed why it’s a demo, but another possibility is that they call it that because so far Ch.1 only has 1 ending. The next update will introduce a few more (around 10 I think

And they did mention on their Twitter (X) that PL will get 30 save slots just like PK. The save you lost is probably just somewhere in the save files folder. 

I’m not on my PC so I can’t exactly find it, but if you’re on Windows, then press Windows+R and type in %appdata% or %localappdata% (I’m not sure which one) And search for Paper Lily or Leef6010, in which should be a folder named saves. Note that PK saves are in the same folder as PL. 

Btw PL means Paper Lily and PK means Project Kat

The newer comments don’t really adress it anymore, but it was pretty hard for most people (including me), but the devs said the next update will have an option to skip it (probably like the spike minigames)

I don't want to insult you or anything, but how do you not notice the release of a game you've been waiting for for 5 months?

Probably not very soon, since they first have to release v1.1.0 (Steam version) and start their Kickstarter, and we also have to take into consideration that Ch1 only came out 5 months ago, and when we look at other multichapter games like deltarune we will find that it takes about a year or even more just to release a single new chapter (altough deltarune chapters 3-5 will release at the same time)

Maybe you forgot to do something from the objectives? I hate to do this since at this point I'm spamming it in the comments, but if you didn't forget any objectives then check out this guide

Well it should be safe, since it's made in Godot engine which doesn't allow the scripts to interfere with anything outside of the game files, and I also ran it through ESET and it didn't detect any danger

It's not necessary to help the prisoner, it's just another way™ to progress around the game. Try checking out this guide.

I think that is because they probably don't have a licence, but it should be safe. After all I played this game on multiple devices and they all seem to be working fine

About the blue light, there’s 2 ways to play the game - go through the maze or help the prisoner that will help you continue without ever going through the maze - if you chose to help the prisoner then you have to give him the blue light (which isn’t used for anything else) so you really didn’t lose or gain anything useful

And if you get stuck or don’t know which way to go, then I recommend checking out Winger785’s guide

Are you using a computer with multiple user accounts? If so, then it could be set to extract to another person account which is not possible if you don’t have their password. If you see a box with something along the lines of “Extract to:” or “Destination:” then set it to C:/Users/[replace this bracket with your account name]/Downloads

This should extract it to the folder were you’d usually find downloaded stuff

I thought I would leave this to the devs but since they aren’t responding I’ll just do what I can to help. First of all: Are you playing on a Windows computer? If you are I might be able to help

First thing to try: Click on the search bar in the bottom tab and just search up Paper Lily. This is because you could’ve accidentally downloaded it into the wrong folder

Second thing to try is to use a different browser. I recommend Opera or Firefox. 

Third thing to try is to the check what version you are downloading. For example a 32-Bit computer runs 32-Bit apps, but a 64-Bit computer runs both 32 and 64-Bit apps(in this case the version named Paper Lily Demo v1.0.4-WINDOWS without the 32BIT)  So if you’re not sure what version to download just download the 32-Bit one.

If that doesn’t help then please send what the permissions ask

And also, for the future, it is not the smartest choice to close games from the bottom tab, instead press Esc(for most games), and there click Exit or Quit

I personally don’t think it’s weird, but that’s probably because it’s the same for me. I like PL more mainly because of the less “bland” art style, the fact that Lacie actually talks (instead of the almost mute Frisk), and because PL generally seems more modern

I don’t think so. This is the roadmap from Update #1:

1. Finish fixing all critical bugs in Chapter 1
2. Supporter Package DLC for Project Kat
3. Add remaining features in, and release Chapter 1 on Steam
4. Kickstarter Merch Run
5. Chapter 2

So far only 2 out of 5 steps are done with no information on when v1.1(Steam version) will release. Sorry to ruin your excitement but I prefer being a realist (no offence ofc)

The first version on Steam will be v1.1, but as you can see, it’s not out yet. The reason it’s taking so long is because v1.1 will have many more features than the current version, including 30 save slots (instead of the current 3), achievement for the steam version, likely more soundtrack, and new endings (9 if I remember correctly)

Have you tried following this guide? I myself tried it and I had no problems. One thing I do know, is that it always appears on the same location.

Or maybe you need to unscrew the vent (If you have a screwdriver)

if you are and it still doesn’t work, then the next thing that comes to my mind is that you remember the wrong layout, so i’ll show it to you:

and you need to call 999281#0 or 99281#0 (I’m not sure which one)

If that doesn’t work, the last thing i can think of is that you’re entering the numbers on your keyboard, when you’re supposed to chose them by the arrow keys and confirming with enter

I’m pretty sure this is intentional. I’m guessing when they release all chapters they will combine all of them into a single app, and if it was all saved in a different folder, it would make a mess which is one thing no game dev wants. (coming from a game dev) I could be wrong though

You’re gonna hate the rest of the game then. However if you decide to continue, you can checl out this guide made by Winger785 (not me). And if you’re easily scared, go with the |Helping prisoner| instrad of |Forest Maze|. You’ll know what I mean when you read the guide(hopefully)

Don’t know if you know anthing about marketing, but if they sold it for let’s say $15, it would likely earn them much more that of they sold it for $80. This is mainly because the higher the price, the less people will likely pay for it, especially when most people who play game likely aren’t in the best financial situation right now. But other than that, Yes, I still feel like it should be paid, however only from Ch2, since PK doesn’t give enough to decide if you want to buy the full game, which is mainly caused by Project Kat ending in less of a cliffhanger than Ch.1.

If you go to the Train Station, you can pick up scissors from a seat inside the building (It will look like a white star on a seat), and then use the scissors at Daylight Gate to cut the wires from the lamps. You can also check out this guide made by a few cool dudes if you ever get stuck again.
